The Roucou Tanning Oil SPF 6 by Ligne St Barth is a luxurious tanning oil infused with coconut oil, selected plant oils, and precious roucou. Inspired by the Caribbean summer, this legendary formula nourishes the skin while promoting a beautiful, sun-kissed glow. The deep red seeds of the roucou shrub, traditionally used by Caribbean Indians for sun protection due to their high provitamin A content, stimulate melanin production and enhance the skin’s natural defense mechanisms. This nourishing blend leaves the skin feeling pampered during sun exposure, imparting a gentle, copper-colored shimmer to your tan.

Apply the oil generously to your body, face, and hair approximately 15 minutes before sun exposure. For the best tanning results, sunbathe in the morning or late afternoon when UV rays are less intense, as they peak between noon and 4 p.m. Reapply frequently, especially after swimming, sweating, or towel drying. This tanning oil is designed for individuals who tan easily; for the initial days of sun exposure, it is recommended to use a higher SPF for added protection. Additionally, consider layering this oil with a sunscreen that has a higher SPF to ensure adequate sun protection for your skin type.

This tanning oil contains Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, a common sunscreen agent that absorbs UVB rays to help protect the skin from sunburn. Additionally, it includes Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane (Avobenzone), which absorbs UVA rays and provides broad-spectrum sun protection.
